Steak and Ice Cream (but not at the same time)

Work was quite busy today.  After work, I stopped by Amber's apartment to make sure her package got inside.  She went to the Seattle Conference with Tif, so she asked that I pick up the package for her.  I got home quite a bit later than I wanted, but mom had made dinner - steak, salad and baked potatoes.  It was delicious.  We turned down the oven just a little for the second part of the steak cooking process and they came out perfect!  We also decided to make some ice cream.  Tif doesn't like Mint Chocolate Chip, but mom and I do.  So we took advantage of our time alone and made some!  We learned a couple valuable lessons - be judicious with the mint extract (too much and you got punched with it, too little and it wasn't minty at all...).  Also, mix all the ingredients together before you put them in the ice cream maker.  Also, possibly turn on the ice cream maker before you pour in the liquid joy.  Yes, all these things were learned making Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.  It wasn't a disaster, but we learned while we enjoyed our delicious ice cream.
