Farewell Sunday

Today was Joshua's farewell.  Tif and I woke up early to make some salads, then went to Vaughn and LeeAnn's ward.  Dallin, Josh, Vaughn and some of Josh's friends sang a musical number with Emma at the piano.  Then Josh gave his farewell talk.  It was probably more than I've heard him talk all at once.  He was both funny and spiritual.  Then we met for the family dinner at Vaughn's house.  We had crescent rolls with cold cuts and lots of different salads.  We also brought a Costco cake for dessert.  I had to leave part way through the festivities to hold choir practice.  It probably wasn't necessary, but the song we have for August is a little tricky.

After dinner and dessert, we headed home, as did the Smith's.  Amber came for dinner as well.  She's practically family, right?  She stayed and we chatted for awhile.  We're looking forward to some delicious leftovers for the next few days.
