Lawns, Computer Triumphs and Optometrists

I was awakened this morning a little earlier than I would have liked, but it was for a good cause:  So I could mow the lawn while it was still under 80 degrees.  Yes, it was almost 80 degrees at 9 am.  Mowed the east and west lawns.  It's a little disheartening when you can mow the whole lawn without emptying the bag.  It's just been so hot that it has trouble growing.  Maybe some fertilizer will help.  Planning that for the next week or so.

So, my computer came with the regular keyboard and mouse with wired in USB.  Well, when I came in after mowing the lawns, mom handed me this little cardboard box and asked if I wanted a wireless mouse.  Um, YES!  It was the one that came with her new tower, but she already had a mouse and keyboard she liked.  So I went and plugged that in.  It's nice not to have to deal with the cord.

Then mom and I went to the laundromat to wash my bedding.  I could use our washer, but I've had problems washing blankets in the past - mostly the washer decides it is simply too tired to spin the water logged blanket.  We stopped by the Car & Dog Wash to get a car wash after.  There was a really long line.  But we waited.

Got home, hung out the blankets to dry on the line, and came downstairs to see if I could finally get my printer working.  Well, I restarted the computer after I connected the new mouse (because it told me to) and turns out it installed a windows update.  Could this be what I've been waiting for?  It could!  Yes folks, I now have a functioning printer connected to my computer as well!  Bonus round:  I went into my devices just to make sure that I didn't have 2 mice, and I didn't.  I had 2 keyboards... I was perplexed, until I read the description of one of them:  HP Wireless Keyboard Kit.  But I didn't connect a keyboard, I connected a mouse.  Yes, quite the mystery.  Then I remembered that mom's new tower also came with a wireless keyboard, but we thought it was bluetooth connected.  Well, it isn't.  It uses the same USB receiver as the wireless mouse.  Yes.  Yes, I can be that lucky.  Just not all the time.  So I now have a wireless keyboard and mouse.  :)

I had an appointment with my optometrist today, just a regular check up.  It's been at least 2 years since I've been in, so it was time.  Thankfully, my prescription has stayed the same!  It's been the same for several years now, which is nice.  Then it was home for a lovely dinner of Cream Tuna on Toast and asparagus.  Tif doesn't like that particular dinner, but mom and I do.  Just so happens she had plans with a friend for dinner, so we got to enjoy a good meal!  Then off to institute - Priesthood Session.  We also discussed the First Presidency and their function/responsibility in the church.  They played Ultimate Frisbee after, but I wasn't really interested, so I came home.  On the way, I noticed this beautiful sunset.  No, I didn't get a picture.  I was driving and couldn't stop to take a picture.  By the time I got home, it had disappeared.  Garbage night, so I took all the garbages to the curb.  Been a long day, but fairly productive.
