Molasses, Zumba and Mi Computero

The last couple times I've gone to donate blood, I haven't had high enough iron levels.  One of the nurses doing to initial tests gave me a list of things that help raise your iron levels.  But she also took out a pen and wrote "Molasses!!" in big letters at the top of the list.   This has been quite awhile ago, but I came across that list again a couple weeks ago and decided that maybe I should try it.  Well, I have the perfect solution - molasses chocolate milk.  I have found that I actually like the taste of the molasses with the chocolate.  Mom has tried to sell me on "iced molasses" which is molasses and water (with ice, of course).  I can't seem to make myself drink that particular combination.  At first it tastes like plain water, but then it is definitely molasses.  And I don't like that.  If you are going to put in something with a strong flavor you should either A) be able to taste it from the get go or B) not be able to taste it at all.  That's just my opinion though.  Mom continues to enjoy her iced molasses - more power to her.  I usually have my molasses chocolate milk in the morning, but sometimes I double up and have another helping at night.  I mean - chocolate milk twice a day? Who can say no to that, really.

Well, here is the big news - MY COMPUTER CAME!!!!!!

This is my small happy dance.  Tif recorded it last night at dinner.  I just now figured out how to insert it into the blog!  Why just now?  Because I'm doing this post on my new computer!  So now I can just drag the video from my dropbox right into this post.  I love having a computer.

When it came, I was so happy I just held it for a few minutes saying "my precious".  (And then proceeded to quote Leverage:  "My precious.  No, I mean you.  You're my precious."  Bonus points if you know who said it.  Don't know why you want the points cuz you can't spend 'em, but whatever.) Yes, I am this ridiculously happy to have a computer.  But I couldn't set it up until later tonight, because I went with mom to Ladies Night Out.  Every month women in her ward get together at a specific restaurant for dinner.  Tonight was Fred's (The Taco Shop).  Yes, we identify some restaurants by their owner's name and not their actual business name.  Anyway, dinner was very good, and the company is always interesting.  It's mostly older women, but we had a young married lady join us tonight.

Then I took my computer home to set it up.  Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time between when  I got home and Zumba to actually set it up.  I just set it unopened on my desk and said "later" (a la Gabriel Iglesias.  Bonus points if you know who that is).  Then I went to Zumba.  My muscles were so sore from last night, but still a lot of fun.  I even got to choose one of the songs we did tonight.  Jackie looks at the clock when our cool down song comes on.  If we haven't been going for about 50 minutes, she asks someone to yell out a request.  No one was yelling, so I did!  First time I've picked the request song, which was cool.  Then I came home to set up my computer, finally!  Tif tried to convince me to skip Zumba to play with my computer, but I love Zumba just a little too much.

Here she is:
Isn't she pretty?  It's an all-in-one, so this is the screen/tower/speakers all together.  Mom asked what the gray (grey?) thing on the bottom was, and I told her that was the speakers.  They don't call it an all-in-one for nothing!  Took me about half hour to get it all set up and figured out.  Then I just smiled and started exploring Windows 8.  I have my own printer that I took to college (HP LaserJet 6P) and which is now home.  So I'm going to connect that pretty soon, but I need to clear off part of my desk first.  Right now, I'm just happy to smile and look at my awesome computer.  "Can life get better?  I submit that it cannot!"  (More bonus points.  I'm practically giving them away.)
