Cleaning and Institute

Mom is having the carpets cleaned, so today we cleaned the living room.  Some of my boxes from college were there, so I went through them and pulled out a couple things I've missed.  The rest got boxed up again and sent to the office.

Our institute Mid-Summer Social was tonight.  We usually set up a couple volleyball nets and have a mini tournament as well as a barbecue and s'more fire.  However, both of our free-standing volleyball courts were stolen.  (Think portable court in a bag.)  We still have one that has to be attached to the stationary poles at the seminary building.  So we're setting up goof-ball as well.  (It's a water kickball kind of game that not many people were interested in.)  Being on the institute council, I needed to get there early to help set up.  Unfortunately, Bishop Stones was taking supplies over to the fire victims near Wenatchee, so he was late, and no one but me and Clark showed up to help.  Thankfully, a few people did show up around 6:30pm, so we were able to get everything set up and started almost on time.  We had pulled pork, hot dogs and hamburgers.  I wasn't feeling very social, so I mostly stayed inside and played the piano until I got hungry enough to go eat.  It's been a weird day, overall.
