Service, Apples and a Scarf

So, I am writing this looking back a few days, and there is some debate as to the exact sequence of events.  As such, I am combining days.  I failed to take any notes for either day, and I can't specifically remember if one event was Wednesday or Thursday.

Definitely Wednesday:
I did not go to Zumba.  Jackie is sick, and her back up instructor had another class.  Mom and I made pigs in blankets for dinner.

Definitely Thursday:
This morning, Mom served at the Catholic Church, feeding the homeless.  Well, anyone who wanted a free meal.  They didn't turn anyone away who came to eat.  She said it was an interesting experience.  So I was on my own for lunch.  I made up some ravioli, which was pretty good.

These are apples that the Callahans gave us, fresh from the orchard.  I don't rightly know what kind they are, but they are of the red variety and very tasty.  They are also quite large!  After work, mom and I had a nice warm dinner of cream tuna on toast, green beans and hot chocolate.  We were a little cold, but this warmed us right up.

Any of the following events could have occurred solely on either day, or in any combination on either day:
A little while ago, we cleaned out the file cabinets in my room that were full of dad's papers and things.  So mom pulled those over to her recliner and started going through them.  I put in "Iron Man 3" because I haven't seen it in awhile.  But I think mom is getting tired of my action/super hero movies... While mom went through papers, I finished a scarf.  It's black with multi-colored, shiny threads.

I have several different kinds of this cheater yarn (it's a simple knit, but looks more complicated).  I haven't done this specific kind yet, but I think it turned out great.  The washing machine was slightly overflowing, so mom and I changed the lint filter and it seemed to do better.  Hopefully that was the only problem.
