It's been a pretty good Sunday. Just before we started Sacrament meeting, Bishop told me he wanted to chat with me for a few minutes about music. So that happened in the middle of Relief Society, because I can't really miss a week of Temple Prep, and I wanted to actually get food at linger longer. So during the announcements in RS, I stepped out and went to the Bishop's office. It wasn't a big deal - he just wanted to talk about adding rest hymns into the schedule again. We also talked about ward choir and how I felt everything was going. It was a good chat. I made it back to RS just in time to play the closing hymn. (In my defense, the teacher ended early.)
Then it was on to linger longer. Today was appetizers and desserts. In the past, there have been about 3 appetizers and 20+ desserts. So last week they asked the sisters to bring appetizers only. They'd leave the desserts to the men. Well, we had 20+ appetizers and about 5-7 desserts, which I'm not complaining about. I feel like I got fed a very decent meal. Tif and I sat down and people kept coming over and stealing chairs. Albeit, they hadn't put out enough tables in the first place, but it was a little disheartening when you don't fit into the cliques and they rub it in by decreasing your table size. Oh well.
Tif and I came home and had a nap. I think I slept longer than she did. I vaguely recall her getting a phone call at some point. Anyway, we weren't very hungry after all the linger longer food, so we just pieced for dinner. Tif washed her bedding sometime in the last day or two, so I helped her put her bed in order: adding water, bubbling and making the bed. She's prepping to leave for a work training this week.
