Bedding, Institute and the Moon

It's been a pretty productive day.  I was up early (for a Tuesday), and had breakfast with mom.  Then I got started on the neverending task - laundry.  Seriously, it never ends.  But today I started with my bedding.  I'm usually a little hesitant to wash my bedding at home because sometimes it doesn't spin very well in the washer and comes out sopping wet.  But I gave it a try today.  Turns out the secret to spinning it dry is putting it on the "heavy duty" setting.  While everything was washing, I went through some papers and organized them in my filing cabinets.

Mom and I took a quick trip to Leprekon to take advantage of their sale on beef.  When we got home, Tif was there.  She had already put in her 4 hours at work, and wasn't feeling well, so she came home.  The remainder of the day was spent switching over laundry and bubbling my bed.  I like to listen to audiobooks while I clean.  For some reason, having a storyline to focus on helps me not get overwhelmed or discouraged.  Today I finished "Odd Thomas".  It's almost a paranormal story about a guy named Odd Thomas who can see the spirits of the dead.  He is usually compelled to help them find peace or justice.  It was a good book, but a little sad.  No, really - I cried.

We heated up our broccoli soup for dinner (which was delicious) and then I headed up to institute.  Bishop Stones was not there.  Instead, we learned from Sister Jayne Payne.  We discussed the first 5 chapters of 2 Nephi.  On the way home from institute, I looked to the sky and saw this beautiful moon.  The picture doesn't do it justice, but just believe me when I say it was nigh on breathtaking.
When I got home, mom and Tif helped me make my bed.  It's nice to have a freshly made (and bubbled) bed to sleep on.
