It's been a weird day. Tif stayed home sick. She's got a really bad cold, kind of losing her voice. Mom came down to the office at about 11am for an adjustment. She stayed and did a few things at the office, then we headed home for lunch. There was just enough soup leftover from last night. Mom put it in the microwave, but it wouldn't turn on. It just kept saying "H98". Looked that up online - broken inverter or something. Recommendation: take it to a professional to be fixed, or buy a new one. So, the soup got reheated on the stove instead. We are planning to go out tonight or tomorrow and get a new microwave.
I don't know why, but I've been a little irascible today. One minute I'm happy as a clam (a simile that I don't really understand), the next I'm just done with people in general. To cope with the "done" feeling, I sleep. I think it's a better response than throwing things at the wall. But, I slept through the afternoon. When I woke up, I called and apologized to my boss. Thankfully, he's pretty forgiving. Mom made mashed potatoes, beef, gravy and broccoli for dinner (all without the microwave, I might add). After dinner, we voted for the midterm elections. Since Tif works in Ephrata, she usually hand carries our ballots instead of mailing them.
After all that, I went to Zumba. I seriously love going to Zumba. We did a couple new songs that were pretty fun. One of them was really different - for part of the song, we didn't move our feet. No, really. Our feet were pretty much planted together while the torso and arms did most of the movement. I really enjoyed it. After Zumba I picked up some orange juice for Tifini and then headed home.
