Labor Day!!! Tif met a couple co-workers for lunch today, so it was just mom and I for part of the morning/afternoon. We decided to have a good breakfast, do some cleaning and then go to the 2 o'clock showing of "If I Stay". So we got to work. We both had a goal we had to reach or we couldn't go to the show. Mom had to clean the living room, and I had to finish a couple goals from my to-do list. Well, about half an hour before we were done, Tif came home. Surprisingly, she wanted to see the show with us, so we thought up a cleaning job so she could be accomplished too! (Hehe, sorry babe.) We were all successful and went to the show.
It's a story of a girl who is a senior in high school. It's a snow day, and her family is going to see their grandparents. They get into an accident which leaves her in a coma. While she is in a coma her "spirit" is around trying to figure out what happened to the rest of her family and graciously giving us flashbacks of her life. She then has to decide whether to wake up and live a (probably) more difficult life, or move on and leave those she loves behind. It was an okay movie. I'm not sorry I saw it, but issues like teenage alcohol use were treated very lightly, like they were normal and expected. I'm not really a huge fan of that.
Then it was home for dinner and then off to Zumba. Jackie almost didn't have class tonight because of the holiday, but she took a poll on Facebook and had enough interest to keep class (Yay!). There were only about 6 of us, but we had lots of fun.
