Peach Leather and Pinterest

This morning, Mom and I made Peach Leather.  We bought a box of peaches a couple weeks ago, and some of them are getting really ripe.  I remember making fruit leather as a kid, but I was more involved with checking it as it dried and eating it after.  It was a lot of fun to try something new.  And mom even pulled out her new VitaMix.  Tif bought it for her a couple years ago, and her old one gave out about a week ago.  This is a pretty big step, as she has been refusing to use it since Tif got it for her.  Here is the lovely leather in the dryer:

After Zumba last night, I am super tired today.  I lay down at about 4:30p, just to lie down and woke up at 6:30pm.  Mom and Tif ate dinner earlier and saved me a plate.  I ate in the living room with Mom while she waiting for her Home Teachers.  We love Pinterest around our house.  Most of our fun meals and treats come from something we found there.  Tonight, Mom did the one dish casserole with green beans, potatoes and chicken.  She also cooked some acorn squash.  It was amazing.  Pictographic proof:

We let the peach leather dry a little too long, as the edges were a little crispy.  But it tastes good anyway!
