Remember that sweater I mentioned yesterday? I wore it today. I think I like it even more now that I've worn it. Well, Tifini spoke in church today. I attempted a recording, but it didn't turn out very well. You're Welcome. She always does a really good job with her talks, and this wasn't an exception. Then it was off to Sunday School. With the recent building change came access to the Family History Library. So my Family History class met there today. It helps to be able to go on the computer and see exactly what Brother and Sister Wright talk about, then apply it to my own family tree.
After church we had an Institute sponsored Linger Longer. They had Hawaiian Haystacks with all the fixings and Shari's pies. Sadly, they ate all the Chocolate Silk Pie before I could get a piece. Yes, that made me very sad. But overall dinner was really good. Then we stayed and watched the CES Fireside. When I talked with mom about it later, she said it was scary. Like a "you may actually have to give your life for your beliefs" scary. And that was the message of his talk. I can't remember which scripture it is, but the message is: If any man give his life for my sake (the Savior), shall find it. And Elder Christofferson gave many different examples of "giving our lives" including forsaking our old lives for ones lived by the commandments of God, as well as possibly having to die for our beliefs. Very powerful talk, overall.

I watched that devotional too. Loved the message! He said giving our life would be the easy way out - it's harder to live it right! Gives us something to work for.
