Made plans to spend today in Tri-Cities. And those plans crashed and burned. I woke up early so I could shower and get ready. Checked my phone and Laura had to cancel. Tif and I were going to spend most of the day with her in Tri-Cities. She lives in Yakima and I don't see her often anymore. But she spent all last night throwing up. Ya, I can safely say that I'm all right with not meeting her. Sadly, that meant that mom canceled her plans to spend time with Sheri & family. Sorry Sis. I was really looking forward to seeing Fletcher and Taylor in their Roadshow. I have very fond memories of being in a roadshow myself at their age. Always lots of fun!
Well, I woke up the family and we agreed not to go anywhere, mostly because no one really felt 100%. We sat and talked in the living room for awhile until eventually, everyone fell asleep. Woke up feeling a little bit more like we could do something. We cooked french toast and bacon for lunch. A little bit later, we went to "The Maze Runner". Tif has read the book and I haven't. It's an odd feeling to have these roles reversed... It was a good movie, but a bit more violent than I anticipated it being. Afterwords, Tif realized that she may like sci-fi. Because Maze Runner is a little bit sci-fi. Hehehe. This feels oddly like revenge for all the times she has mocked my love of science fiction (read Doctor Who).
Linger longer is tomorrow, and we volunteered to bring stuff. So we stopped by Walmart after the movie. I returned the Redbox rental and got the salsa I offered to bring. Tif needed some hydrogen peroxide across the store, so she and I ran to get it. Well, we got distracted by the women's clothing. They had these awesome sweaters (cardigans? that's what I've been calling them, because to me, sweaters go over your head... maybe that's wrong. Oh well.). And we all loved them, just not in the same colors. They were all tan, but had a different accent stripe. Tif got Navy Blue, Mom got Black and I got Tan. And they have pockets!
I've been finding that I get a little chilled in the mornings at the office, so this will be my office cardigan/sweater.
While at Walmart, we picked up one of their bake-it-yourself stuffed crust pizzas for dinner. And it cooked up pretty good! I was impressed that it baked and tasted so good.
