Woke up this morning and mowed a couple lawns. Then pulled a few of the border weeds. You know, the ones that escape the mower because they immediately jut out into the street. Mom did some work on the rose garden. It is now weed free and watered. I showered really quick and went to meet Mary at the ArtGarden. And this time, I finished my mug.
I'm kind of in love with how this one turned out. Rain drops are not my forte, but somehow they turned out really well. I also tried something with the rain drops. Usually I do two coats of paint so that the lettering is really solid. But with the rain drops, I just did one coat. Hopefully this results in them being slightly lighter and a little transparent. We'll see. This is the one Mary was working on. She is making it for her grandfather, I think, and he is an avid fly-fisherman. So this is her nature scene. All it's lacking is the man fishing.
Mary and I grabbed a late lunch at Michael's Bistro afterward. Then it was back home.
Tifini and I bought some awesome CornFusion popcorn at the Farmers Market on Saturday. We got a Chicago Mix, which is half cheddar and half caramel. I'm not a huge fan of caramel, but I love it paired with the cheddar. We decided a movie night was in order, especially since I don't have institute tonight. So we all got comfy on the couches and watched "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". I love this movie. Action, comedy, and not much sappy romance. Perfect. Even mom enjoyed it. I'm claiming she enjoyed it because she kept commenting on how Captain America was so cute.
Just as we were getting ready for bed, it dawned on us. It's trash night. And not only that, but recycling and yard waste had to go out as well. I was the only one still wearing clothing, so I was nominated to take the trash down to the curb. Then off to bed!
