I made plans with my friend Josslin to come see her today and tomorrow. She moved up to Spokane Valley mid-June, early-July sometime. It was a pretty nice drive. I didn't have to get into major Spokane traffic and her apartment was a pretty straight shot from the exit. So, I got there at about 11am. She lives on the third floor of her building.
(This is her building. I took the picture off the internet,
cuz yet again, I forgot to take pictures.)
I must have gone up and down those stairs 4-6 times today. Now I remember living on the third floor of Miller at college... I hated it for the first month or two, but then it wasn't a big deal to go up and down. Josslin is at that point. I was dying.
Well, she has a Great Dane named Bella. And Bella is one of the most well-behaved dogs I've ever seen. She's big, but very obedient and she hardly makes a sound. Josslin and I talked for awhile and then took Bella on her usual walk. It's a beautiful little neighborhood. Her complex neighbors the local high school, and more specifically, the football field. She is excited for fall when she can just sit on her little balcony and listen to the games.
We didn't do too much today, mostly just caught up and watched movies. We had Panda Express for dinner, and then we did at home pedicures. Oh, it was amazing. Pedicures need to be a weekly (or at the least monthy) occassion. Mom lent me some white buckets for sorting papers awhile ago. Well, just so happens that they are the perfect size for two feet and plenty of hot water. It was heaven. By the time we were done, it was about 9pm. So we lay down and put in another movie. Josslin fell asleep almost right away. I was tired, but I like the Bourne Legacy, so I managed to stay awake. My calves are quite sore from the walk and the stairs, so I'll probably sleep like a log.
