Cookies, Choir and Bergeson Potatoes

Choir Sunday - my ward choir is singing in sacrament meeting today.  These days are always a bit stressful, but very rewarding.  I baked cookies this morning to say thank you to the people who came to church early to practice.  We had a few more people show up than I anticipated.  Mom came to our ward today just to hear my choir.  And they did a good job.  We could have used more men, but I'm pleased with how we did.  It was a kind of complicated combination of "Be Still My Soul" and "Come, Come, Ye Saints".

After sacrament meeting, I gave Whitney (the amazing pianist) her gift and wished her a safe drive.  She's going straight down to Utah today.  She probably won't get there until 3am our time... Yep, she is my amazing pianist.  She could have said no and left earlier today.  After I hugged her goodbye, it was off to family history class.  Today we looked at family search and talked about not just doing family history, but learning some of the stories surrounding our ancestors.  Well, I logged into family search and just started randomly selecting branches.  They were saying how you might log in and just have you, or only a couple generations.  But thanks to my family members, I don't have that particular problem.  So I was just randomly clicking on branches to see how far back I could go.  Low and behold, a few clicks later, I had hit a dead end.
This man is the last in that line (or first?).  So I am going to work with Aunt Kathleen to, hopefully, find more information.  I don't know much about adding sources or researching right now, but Aunt Kathleen said she'd help me.

We had linger longer today, but they were having breakfast cereals and desserts made from breakfast cereal.  I didn't stay, although I did grab a couple desserts.  But the best part of staying at church all three hours?  Randee Bergeson gave me a large grocery sack of potatoes!  I brought them home and we ate them with our roast, gravy and corn for dinner.  So good that I had two.  We ended the day with a visit from Amber, which is always good.
