Work was good, and a little busy. During my lunch hour I went and got some special eye drops to help the inflammation go down. It hasn't changed much and I'm still stuck in glasses... Anyway, after work I headed to FHE. Tonight it was a boating party at, our previous Bishop, Dave Earl's house. I didn't intend to go on the boat. After talking with Whitney and Allison for a little bit, I decided I'd ride on the boat, but I wouldn't get on the tube. Most people were involved in a volleyball game while the first set of people went out in the boat.
Well, I decided I wanted to get in the water, so I may as well go on the tube and see how long I could hang on. Whitney and I went twice - It Was AWESOME! The first time I fell off the tube, I knew I wasn't going to be able to hang on, so I just let go and plugged my nose. The second time, however, I had very little warning. We went over a set of bumps (which was fine) until we hit a couple big waves and bumps in a series. Ya, we flipped the tube and neither of us could hang on - which is a big deal, because Whitney was quite proud of being the last one off the tube, but we both went off with that flip.
We came back to the dock and let a couple people off and picked up a few. Then we headed over to the sand dunes, because a couple people had never set foot there. We had to correct that. Most people just waded in about knee high, but a few of us had fun swimming. Once we got back, I knew I was going to be SO sore. But it was absolutely worth it. Let's just say that the remainder of the evening may have involved me dozing off in a hot bath. Exhausted, but happy.
