Stake Conference Saturday

When I woke up, I did not want to be a productive member of society.  But Tif and I decided that we needed to get some things done on the yard.  I mowed the north lawn (around the garage) and she raked out the woodpile area.  There were lots of Virginia Creeper vines, dead weeds, and some small pieces of wood.  She got that all put in trash cans and it looks great.  Now someone *cough* me, but I'm stalling *cough* needs to seed it so grass grows there again.  I'll get a picture here sometime and show you, but for now - THE WOODPILE IS GONE!!!  I think they hauled away the last of the wood on Wednesday, but today makes it official.  The wood debris is gone and we can actually use that piece of dirt again.

After we finished the yard work, we took the trash cans to the office dumpster.  We have a "yard waste" garbage at home, but it was already full.  Then we came home and I put together the weed wacker.  It came with 2 batteries, so I had to charge those.  Sadly, I didn't get to start it up today.  That'll have to wait for my next yard day.  Then we all took a much needed nap.

We woke up just in time to get dressed and head up to the Saturday session of Stake Conference.  It was a good session - we heard from our Temple President, Mission President and Brother Risenmay (I can't remember his exact calling... Area 70?  Area General Authority?).  After the session, I got to talk with my niece Emma.  She had fun at Girl's Camp.  The highlight was probably having her parents there for a couple days, and catching a frog.  Also talked with Josh - he is anxiously looking forward to receiving his mission call, hopefully within the next week or so.
