Lawn, Institute and Smores

Oh, my lovely day off!  I get to sleep in and then mow the east and west lawns. I got the pleasure of trying out our new Black & Decker weedwacker! It works really well and isn't terribly difficult to use.  And I was right, I am so sore!  Even holding up the weedwacker was a little difficult.  Still don't regret going on the innertube (intertube?) last night.

Woodpile GONE!!  Yes, I'm very happy and will be seeding that area of lawn soon.

Then off to my Institute Council meeting.  Right now I'm the only girl on the council.  All the rest are BBCC students and they went home for summer break.  We had an awesome lesson on the importance of living prophets and discussed President Monson's talks.  Our Stake President (if I remember correctly) quoted President Monson's Priesthood session talk at our Stake Conference:  "If you find yourself in a place you shouldn't ought to be, get out."

In the summer, we have an activity after institute.  Today was volleyball and smores.  I played a little volleyball (badly) but I had a couple good serves.  After that, I ate too many roasted marshmallows.  I just couldn't help eating the mounds of gooey goodness.  It seemed a shame to smush them between graham crackers.  I hadn't eaten dinner, so I came home and had a chicken pot pie.  Really good day, despite my muscles complaining.
