To my hardworking, busy, awesome sisters - I'm inspired by your ability and desire to post everyday. I would like to take your idea and run with it, if you'll let me stumble. However, I don't have a husband or children to brag about or worry over. Mostly, I just have me (and mom and tif). So that'll be mostly what you get. Sorry about that in advance. Speaking of "sorry" - I was rereading some posts, and the few most recent ones were all about being sorry for not posting, and sorry for not having pictures and forgive me for being me and not posting, etc. That's going to stop........ Now. From this point on, I am not allowed to apologize in this blog for not posting every day (like I want to) or for being me and being a little weird. Because, let's be honest, not many people read this blog and it's mostly for me anyway. So, here goes. Commence initiation of operation Daily Post.
Today was the first full day back at work after the trip to Utah. So here's the recap of the Utah Trip:
Wednesday (June 4) - full day of driving from Moses to Springville. Got a fun hat at Costco in Boise and got into Springville at about 11pm local time. Tiffany and all the kids were awake to greet us. Kent was asleep, as he has to leave for work by about 5:30am... They have a lovely house. It's not overly large, but it has all the things a home needs: living room, kitchen, family room, a computer/storage room, and bedrooms.
Thursday - Tiffany had a movie planned for that day. They have a local discount theater that has a summer special. They run different animated movies each week and everyone gets in for $1. Today was Shrek. We played with the kids and went out for Dinner.
Friday - Kent had the day off. We went on a trip to Salt Lake on the Frontrunner, which is the commuter train. It was an adventure. I have never ridden on a train (that I recall) and we had to navigate a street car to get from the train to temple square. It was the first time Kent's kids had been there. It was a lot of fun to be on temple square.
Saturday - Samantha's Birthday and Baptism! It was at 9 am in Salt Lake, so we were up super early to get there with enough time for pictures. Aunt Kathleen drove mom and I there, and we went to lunch with her after. It was mostly a very sleepy day from there on out. We had a pizza party and celebrated Samantha's birthday. Mom and I watched the kids so Kent and Tiffany had a night out.
Sunday - Church at 9 with Kent, then mom and I packed up and went to stay with Kathleen for a couple days. We got the chance to sit in on Kathleen's Family History Class during Sunday School. It was quite enlightening and very well put together.
Monday - Another lazy day. We loaded the things I had stored at Kathleen's, talked, watched a movie, etc.
Tuesday - Long drive home. Lunch at Tucano's in Boise. Oh, Tucanos. Even if I am stuffed, I will still turn over the little stop/go thing for Turkey wrapped in Bacon, Beef Brisket and their Grilled Pineapple.
We got home just in time for me to catch the tail end of my Institute Recognition Dinner. Sadly, I didn't get dinner, but I got there just in time to get my certificates of completion (4 classes) and help clean up with the rest of the council. Had a really good sleep on my lovely water bed.
Today - Back to work and tidying up after being gone for a week. It's really cool that things can come up and I know exactly how to deal with them. Side effect of working there for so long. After dinner I went to Zumba. I haven't been in a couple weeks, so I was more tired than I should be, but still loved it.
Now I'm off to bed and then hit it again in the morning.
