Tuesday is my day off, and as such - it's housework day. And by housework I mean yardwork. Mowing 2 of the lawns, and cleaning the mower. One of the men who fixed the wall came by and did some clearing up work. He leveled the dirt by the wall, fixed the neighbor's displaced fence post and seeded some of the lawn that got torn up. It's good to have the back yard in hand again. And there has been a slow rain all day, which is really good for the grass seed.
And we finally got a cordless weedwacker. It's still in it's box, but I'm excited to get it out after the rain subsides and get the lawns finally looking clean around the edges. Then I cleared up a couple questions with a batch I was indexing and ran some errands. One thing I did was return a pair of shoes to Payless. When I pulled into the lot, there was a guy standing by his pickup with his hood open. I thought that was odd, until he asked if I could jumpstart his truck. He had the jumper cables and was on his way in just a minute. It was weird, but I've been in that situation and had random people help me out. It was nice to be able to help. Also, I noticed a sign on the old K-Mart building:
Yes, it is official. Joann's is coming to Moses Lake. Hopefully in that location in the near future. But who knows.
Then it was home for dinner and then off to Institute. Sometimes, I like being the Co-President of the night class. I'm learning that half the battle is just being there. The other half is pretending you know what you're talking about. I really enjoy Bishop Stones - he is a really good teacher. He knows the scriptures and he makes me want to know the scriptures. After class, we had a "beginning of quarter" pizza party. Walking out of the seminary building, there was this amazing rainbow. It was a double and was so bright you could actually see the distinct colors.
Then out with the trash. Oh, it also waited to start raining until after I had gotten all my lawn equipment cleaned up and put away. Talk about tender mercies. Overall a gorgeous, productive day.
