Mom loves Costco's chicken bakes that you buy from the food court. They also sell them in the store as a frozen food. So today we tried that for lunch. The bread always comes out so hard! Not quite as enjoyable when you have to scrape out the edible pieces and discard the rest... I'm going to try baking it instead of microwaving next time and see if that makes any difference.
Then it was back to work. Sometimes my desk gets so cluttered with things to do that there is more paper than actual desk. So I cleaned up this afternoon. It finally looks like an acceptable work surface!
Mom came down to the office this afternoon to go through some of her mail. But more than that - she wanted to celebrate getting her driver's license renewed. She did it online last time, so this time she had to go into the DMV and pass the eye test and everything. And she did! So she stuck around the office and took Tif and I to dinner at J's Teriyaki. I secretly took pictures of Tif, and when she realized what I was doing, I got this gem.
She's pretty awesome, I have to admit. And just so you know - she has become a reader. She has about an hour commute everyday, so she gets audiobooks. In total, she has read almost 50 books. Once she actually hits 50, we're going to plan something fun. No idea what yet...
After dinner I went to Zumba. I couldn't do as much as I normally can, but I blame being sore from boating and mowing the lawns. Hopefully I'll do better tomorrow night.
