After the temple trip Friday, I put all my wet things in the washer. Saturday morning I opened the washer, but everything was sopping wet. Especially the towel. So I started the washer again yesterday. Well, it didn't even finish the cycle. It started giving me an error code and wouldn't open. So I tackled that project this morning. Turns out that the code meant "pump time exceeded". The solution was to clean the internal filter/trap. It took a little patience, assembly of a wet/dry shopvac, and quite a bit of time. But I eventually suctioned out all the remaining water and got the trap out. Here's what was inside:
It's an sos pad. I don't know how, but somehow it ended up outside the drum and tried to drain out with the water. It then tried to completely flush out, but instead just blocked the drain. No idea how long it's been there, either. So, that got accomplished today.
I was tired from working on the washer, but went off to church anyway. We had two returned sister missionaries speak in church today. The funny part is that they both had been called to Brazil, but ended up serving their full missions stateside (Texas for one, California for the other). And in third hour we watched the CES Devotional from last week, I think. Then I started choir, and actually had people show up. So maybe there'll be enough people for a Christmas song or two.
When I got home, my arms and legs were a little shaky from working on the washer. Mom made Beef and Broccoli for dinner. The broccoli got a little overcooked, but it was still very, very good. This one is definitely being added to the rotation. After dinner, we watched Cadence and worked on crafts.
