Oh my lovely day off. I slept in this morning and spent most of the day working on a Christmas project. No, I can't say what it is. Yes, you may be receiving one for Christmas. You'll just have to be patient until December 25. All that needs to be said is that it was easier than I thought, but no less time consuming.
We had nachos for dinner with shredded barbecue chicken. I'm not a huge fan of barbecue sauce, but the nachos were pretty good. Then it was off to Institute. Tonight we talked about Jacob's Discourse (2 Nephi 6-10), which spurred an in depth discussion of the scattering and gathering of Israel. Every week I can say that I am grateful for certain things: Family, air conditioning (both hot and cold), Zumba, and Institute. Sometimes it's annoying that I don't have Tuesday nights free, but learning from the scriptures and Bishop Stones is worth it.
Also, Tif, a few friends and I have started a text group focused on reading our scriptures every day. We just got it started this last Sunday, but it's really helpful. Once we read, we send a text to the group and say at least 1 thing that we found interesting, or just something we liked from our reading. It's fun to have almost an insight discussion, because we are all reading in different places in the scriptures, and pull different insights from our reading. We just got started, but I have high hopes.
