Surprise, Surprise!

Last night I was sitting at my computer. There was a knock at the door and I heard Sarah go to open it. Then, I heard some gasps and "ah"s and I went out to the living room. Our neighbor Noel had just stopped by with a bouquet of flowers! Now, that's not the surprise. She told us that they were delivered from a floral shop to her apartment by accident, so she was just bringing them over. Now - the real shocker is that the note was addressed "To My dears, Sara, Sarah, Angela & Laura". And here's the note, simply because if I quoted you wouldn't believe me:

(And yes, that says what you think it says.)

First off, we have no idea who sent the flowers but we're pretty sure he's in our ward. We stewed for a few hours thinking of who it was and we have it narrowed down to a few criteria: he has to know us well enough to call us his "dears". He also didn't spell either my or Sarah's names wrong. He has to know that our apartment is crazy enough to appreciate his analogy. Also, and this is the most important, he has to feel comfortable calling himself our "piece of man meat". Finding a guy in our ward who meets all those criteria is tough, but we have at least 2 pretty good guesses. It's either one of our home teachers (past/present??) or a guy in the ward who is basically in love with Angie and Sarah and is insane enough to think he knows me and Laura pretty well too. We're praying it's the former!

On to the flowers! The bouquet is just beautiful, yellow/green roses and purple flowers.

the full bouquet as seen on our lovely kitchen table

My attempt at a beautiful shot of all the flowers.
This is coming from the top of the bouquet down.

And since our roomie Angie is a Landscape Management major and took Floral Design last semester and is TA-ing it this semester, we asked her to put the bouquet in a vase and have it still look pretty. She did a really good job!

So, that made for a very interesting evening last night. We are still waiting to see whether or not the guy behind this will come forward...

Hey, I finally read your blog - find him quick!!! Don't let him get away! Those kind are rare, your name first for a reason? The other thing you have to consider, is that they probably cost him some money, so determine who is either rich, so much in love he's not thinking straight, or just out to make some girls feel special.
