Long time, no post!

Hey all - I know it's been awhile since my last post, but I've been pretty busy. School does that to a person. Anyways - here is a quick run down of my weekend!

Saturday: I went to the "Theatre Ballet in Concert" matinee on Saturday. I need to go to so many concerts/performances for my Music 101 class, so I decided to make this performance one of them. And no - I didn't go alone. I asked a guy from my ward, Jared, to come and he graciously agreed to come with me. It was a really good concert, and I think Jared may have even enjoyed it a little... Anyways, we were going to grab some ice cream afterwards, but he already had plans to have dinner with his brother. I thought I'd include pictures of the playbill. The ballet was really good - West Side Story, then Romeo and Juliet. West Side Story wasn't a full on ballet, but they didn't do the singing. Instead they had the acters/actresses dance to a pre-recorded track, and each time someone danced, it was their character singing in the music. Then of course we had full-on ballet with Romeo and Juliet.















Sunday: Daylight Savings Time and Stake Conference. Talk about 2 ingredients that should never, ever be mixed. So, I set my clock ahead before I went to bed, but I still woke up and realized that Stake Conference was already 1/2 over... Joyous. Anyways, later in the afternoon - we went on a roommate picnic! It was sunny and not too windy, so we made up this chicken salad type filling, chopped some lettuce and headed up to a grassy patch at the top of the stairs to campus. We had croissant sandwiches with the chicken salad filling and some fruit, pop and mini-cupcakes for dessert. It was so nice, we stayed out for about 2 hours (total) and just talked, sat in the sun... it was nice. Then when the wind started picking up, we headed home! Overall, a really good way to spend some time together.

Monday: School, come home, clean the kitchen, sit down to watch an online episode of "Leverage" (series on TNT) and look outside and - SNOW!!!! I mean, a torrential downpour of snow. Like, someone in the cosmos decided to send down a winters' worth of snow in just a few hours. Oh well. At least we had our roommate picnic yesterday! And here are the pictures that took me forever to get (cuz for some reason, digital cameras focus on the big pieces of a picture, like the trees/houses, instead of the snow...)
