And Life Starts...

So, I've been really busy and a slacker because I haven't updated in about a month. So here is my feeble attempt to catch you up:

I got safely back to school! No delays on the flight back, drive back to the apartment was good. School started and I ended up deciding on a major... Drum Roll please! Information Systems! And I realized I needed a few pre-reqs so I can apply for the program. During the first week I dropped 2 classes and added 4. Oh goody.

During that first week or two, it started snowing on a Wednesday (I think) and didn't stop snowing until 36 hours later. We all started hating the snow after that - even Laura who usually likes the snow. We haven't have much bad weather since then, but it just recently rained, sleeted, and snowed... so I won't say anything else or we'll end up being snowed in tomorrow. (It's just my luck...)

I really like my classes. They're tough and I'm just hitting the first tests this week. We'll see how those go. I really like my dance class. I'm also in the University Chorale. I'm singing Alto II and loving it!

As for church - I was called to the publicity council. We take care of the program, weekly e-mail, monthly newsletter and getting fliers out to people to inform them of any activities. And I'm in charge of doing the program every week! Now, you might think I'm crazy - but I'm really excited about that assignment. Let me 'splain. Our program hasn't been constructed very well in the past... And most of the announcements didn't quite make it to the previous programs. I have vowed to change that. I would post my first program - but I don't quite know how to do that, and I don't really want to figure it out. Just take my word for it - it was awesome. Oh, you can also ask mom - she's seen it and thinks I did a good job. But, I'm a little bias because it is my own work...

Other than church, school and sometimes hanging out with friends, life pretty much goes on.

Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fall. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
