I know, I know.

I don't post for weeks and then two posts in one day. I amaze even myself sometimes. I was having a really bad night. I wanted to do something, but there was no where to go. Then my roommate Angie suggested that we put up the lights she brought from home. So we put a small string of white lights on our make-shift tree. Then she had two complete strings of colored lights. We put the first one around the top of the living room (like near the ceiling and walls) then we put another around our kitchen window. However, half of the string wouldn't stay lit: it would just flicker and occasionally stay lit but with no guarantees. So we were just going to let the second half sit on the floor. However, our friend from next door came over because she heard us laughing. And she suggested that we make shapes with the remaining lights. So I rigged the lights with lots of tape so that they would actually stay in place. Then I realized that it was one light that was killing the others, so I taped that one up just so and it's stayed lit ever since. And I made some cool things with the lights. And we have some special crayons that can write on glass and mirrors and such, so Laura and Angie went outside and colored my creations to make them look cool. It's really awesome. I'm proud of the work we did! And here are some pictures to commemorate: (all the outlines are the light strings)

It was fun. My night vastly improved. I also have some cool pictures of me decked out in the lights we were trying to fix. I wasn't going to post them, but I just decided I want to so here they are. The first one's a little weird because she caught me when I was blinking. But I still like the picture.

Just a side note. I'll be taking my poems off the blog within the next couple of days. Just so you know. Oh, and sorry some of the pictures are blurry, but we had to take them with no flash and the lights off so you could see the lights I had draped over me.
