Yes, it's late, but I'm listening to some of the tracks on Lisa's blog and I can't really sleep yet. So I thought I'd leave an update. Last Thursday I had a little accident. I was driving with Laura and this kid on a bike darts into the street and right into the side of my car! (And NO, I didn't run him over and I didn't Hit Him. He hit me!) I stopped the car and the kid got right back up on his bike and rode off. I turned onto a side street and called to him, asking him if he was alright. He said he was fine, but he hit pretty hard! Laura and I are still concerned that he may have gotten a concussion. But he just rode off!
The cadi now has a rather large dent in the door, a couple scrapes and a taped on side-view mirror! No major damage besides that, and Laura and I are both fine. I was a little shaky for the next hour or so... But I did the responsible thing and called the police. Someone has to know that the kid may be hurt. Probably nothing will come of it, and the kid will probably be fine, but I know that I did what I could and I didn't leave the scene of an accident.
So, I'm just counting my blessings that it wasn't so much worse. Something could have happened to me or Laura. I keep running small scenarios through my head - had I been in the other lane, or had I been going a couple miles of an hour slower, I would have run him over and he could have been killed! As it is, I feel really blessed to have no major problems because of the accident.
Also, Laura is currently at our apartment. She likes it, and she is the first one there. And like any true college student she has taken all the best chairs and shelves into the best room, just for us! :) Girl after my own heart! It will be nice to get down to college and get set up. But I can't say that I won't miss home either... just a delicate balance, I guess.
Other than that, life keeps moving on. I'm finishing with all my packing and trying to get organized... it's not going so well! (the organization, that is!) :) But I can't complain!
Hope every thing's going well with everyone else!

I hope I'm not responsible for not letting you sleep!!!!
I'm glad you are safe and that nothing major happened.
Don't organize too much! There is a law in Thermodynamics about Entropy. (Not saying I'm smart or anything - I might even be quoting the wrong law, but bear with me!) It pretty much states that everything tends to go to "Disorganization", if you will.
In short, don't spend your life organizing, because you will be spending your whole life doing that! ORANGIZING! Enjoy the moments, enjoy the fun, and be excited about the unknown and the prospect of great things and fun times to come. This time in your life will never come again and it is an exciting one.
Just want you to know I love you and am sooooooooooo excited for you to go to the Y.
Keep the posts coming!
Love Ya,
Lisa
